This workshop is addressing the needs of beginners who want to start editing and creating digitally. The participants will get acquainted with the basic functions and tools of the program, the correct processing of digital images, as well as the way to effectively approach a digital visual work.
The workshop will also present theoretical and practical examples in simple and understandable language.
The topics of the seminar include:
-Photoshop environment and tools
–Customization of the work environment
-Photo/Images editing theory
-Practical use and image editing
-What are Layers and how do they work?
-What are blending modes and how do they improve our work?
-You will learn what adjustment Layers are and what their use is (safe and non-destructive processing)
-What are masks and where do they help edit / correct photos?
-How to easily and quickly crop images
-Delete unwanted items and trash corrections
-Add new objects to an existing image
-Digital Collage / Digital Photography
-Digital Composition / Creative Artwork
*A personal laptop with the Adobe Photoshop program installed is required for participating in this workshop.
This workshop is suitable for anyone who is preparing a portfolio for admission to Fine and Applied Arts Universities, for students of relevant disciplines seeking specialization and finally for amateur and professional designers and artists who want to enrich their skills.

The workshops are delivered by visual artist Stefanos Papadas
Stefanos Papadas is a B.A. in Audio & Visual Arts from Ionian University. He was also awarded a postgraduate scholarship by the Flemish Government in Multimedia Design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Ghent.
He has participated in over 20 group exhibitions and festivals and has collaborated with artistic groups in Greece, Belgium and Cyprus. His work was presented at the Opera of Ghent, the Opera of Rotterdam, the Bozar of Brussels, the Athens Concert Hall and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Crete. In 2017 he also participated in the 6th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art. This year he participates in the Athens Digital Art Festival with the project BRAIN-RINTH.
