DESCRIPTION:The architectural model – or maquette – is a key tool for composing and communicating the process of an architectural design. While designs can give information on a two-dimensional level\, the model can express spatial proportions\, qualities and ideas in three-dimensional form. Thus\, the maquette becomes an instrument of communication and compositional process\, helping to resonate spatial qualities\, explaining the main concepts\, as well as the ability to predict possible problems and their resolutions.\nThe construction of an architectural maquette combines artistic expression and technical skills\,which stands not only a mere representation of the idea\, but as a unique creation in itself. DESCRIPTION:Ceramist Vasos Demetriou will be visiting our studio to deliver an intensive workshop on wheel throwing techniques. Participants will be taught about pottery techniques using a throwing wheel.\nThe first session will be focused on the technique of making vessels on the throwing wheel. On the second session the participants will work on their fired objects\, decorating them with ceramic stains and glazes. DESCRIPTION:Following Motivw Workshop #1 Μοτίβω this is a 2-day fashion workshop that aims at the deconstruction of the army uniform and construction of your own any-style wear with the guidance of fashion designer Andriana Lagoudes. \nDay one: 21/1/2017 Tuesday\, hours: 15:00 – 20:00 Duration 5 hours \nDiscover\, contemplate\, manipulate\, share ideas\, play.\nFrom the wide range of fabrics and materials you can choose any army wear you find in the space and dye it\, cut it\, add patches\, pockets\, a hood\, bring it to your size and anything else you want on it. On this day we discover the possibilities of your own personal style and start with the process of altering your findings. There is not need for you to have any fashion design experience as we are there to help you with the process.\nThe duration of the workshop is set from 15:00-20:00 so that anyone can join at their convenient time. \nDay two: 23/11/2017 Thursday\, hours: 15:00 – 20:00 Duration 5 hours\nIf anyone missed day one feel free to join us on this day. It’s never too late to get creative. The workshop continues for the ones that joined on the first day by completing their alteration and designs. Join us as we deconstruct military fabrics to their core by ripping them to shreds\, dying them in funky colors\, and manipulating their properties. We have collected a wide variety of uniforms from the past years from all over the island\, regardless of their allegiance\, country of origin\, or past. These pieces will be available for everyone in the workshop to enable creative play and exploration.

DESCRIPTION:The Nicosia Municipalityin collaboration with The Art Hub Visual Arts Laboratories are organizing an event that will “dress up” the surroundings of the Nicosia City Hall with works of public art by 25 street artists (graffiti artists)\, which were carried out as part of last year’s organization of the Municipality of Nicosia “Let’s go Garden” but also with new projects that will be carried out on site.\nAll the works will remain in the premises of the Nicosia City Hall\, decorating it until the completion of the works on Liberty Square. \nArt Hub Visual Arts Laboratories curates this celebration which marks the result of the collective work of emerging and established street artists.
