DESCRIPTION:Sculpting the Head and Neck from Life with Yiannis G. Koromias \nJoin us in this unique workshop which will introduce the fundamentals of sculpting a portrait in clay using a live model.\n-What will you learn through this workshop?\nThe workshop will include a step-by-step process of constructing the head in an accurate and anatomically correct manner in clay using academic sculpting methods and techniques. The participants will be guided though demonstrations and individual critiques so as to develop a better understanding of proportions\, depth\, form and contour line in space. Through this methodical process each participant will produce a 3-dimensional clay portrait. Due to the fact that special individual attention will be given to guide participants\, the workshop will cater for interested individuals\, irrespective of their age\, previous knowledge or experience. \n-Who should participate:\nThis workshop is suitable for students preparing a portfolio for Schools of Fine Arts\, university students of similar disciplines seeking specialisation in specific fields and finally\, amateur and professional artists who want to enrich their skillset. \nWorkshop Duration:\nNovember 22 – December 14 / Eight three-hour long sessions \nBio:\nYiannis G. Koromias is a graduate of the Florence Academy of Art in Italy\, with specialisation in Academic Drawing and Painting. He later studied Sculpture at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design\, University of Dundee\, in Scotland. Having developed a particular interest in human anatomy and the special relationship that exists between Figurative Art and Anatomy\, he completed a Human Anatomy Écorché Course in the USA and subsequently earned an MSc degree with Distinction in Craniofacial Identification and Forensic Art at the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification\, University of Dundee. His work is exhibited in Cyprus and the UK\, including Edinburgh University’s Anatomical Museum. See less

DESCRIPTION:Following Motivw Workshop #1 Μοτίβω this is a 2-day fashion workshop that aims at the deconstruction of the army uniform and construction of your own any-style wear with the guidance of fashion designer Andriana Lagoudes. \nDay one: 21/1/2017 Tuesday\, hours: 15:00 – 20:00 Duration 5 hours \nDiscover\, contemplate\, manipulate\, share ideas\, play.\nFrom the wide range of fabrics and materials you can choose any army wear you find in the space and dye it\, cut it\, add patches\, pockets\, a hood\, bring it to your size and anything else you want on it. On this day we discover the possibilities of your own personal style and start with the process of altering your findings. There is not need for you to have any fashion design experience as we are there to help you with the process.\nThe duration of the workshop is set from 15:00-20:00 so that anyone can join at their convenient time. \nDay two: 23/11/2017 Thursday\, hours: 15:00 – 20:00 Duration 5 hours\nIf anyone missed day one feel free to join us on this day. It’s never too late to get creative. The workshop continues for the ones that joined on the first day by completing their alteration and designs. The choice of bringing in your own materials is of course welcome. Add on anything from your old jeans or your old hoodies you were thinking of throwing out. And leave with new clothes of your own design. \nThe clothes produced will be presented in an exhibition at the NeMe Arts Center in Limassol on the 8th of January. DESCRIPTION:Αυτή την εβδομάδα παραμένουμε εντός για να κλείσουμε τον κύκλο των καλοκαιρινών εργαστηρίων του The Art Hub.\n\nΣτη τελική έκθεση που θα διοργανωθεί θα παρουσιαστούν όλα τα έργα που δημιουργήθηκαν κατά την διάρκεια του καλοκαιριού.\nΜαζί μας θα έχουμε και φίλους εικαστικούς που παρουσιάζουν τη δουλεία τους παράλληλα\, ενώ δεν θα μπορούσαμε να μην έχουμε μαζί μας τους νέους φίλους graffiti artists!\n\nΈνα ακόμα παράλληλο event που\, ξεκινά από τις 4 το απόγευμα\, λοιπόν θα πραγματοποιείται στο χώρο στάθμευσής του The Art Hub\, όπου οι graffiti artists θα διακοσμήσουν τους τοίχους με τις μοναδικές τους δουλείες.\n\nΕκλεκτούς καφέδες και ροφήματα θα μας προσφέρει το D – Bar!\n\nΕλάτε να γεμίσετε τέχνη\, φιλική συναναστροφή και συζήτηση στον φιλόξενο μας χώρο.\nΣας περιμένουμε!
